Located more than 1 hour away from the center of Hanoi, Dong Mo golf course is a perfect choice for golfers. This is the first 36-hole golf course to meet international standards in northern Vietnam.
The golf course includes 36 holes located on an area of 350 hectares of land and 1,500 hectares of lake. Even the name Lakeside golf course (18 holes) speaks to the characteristics of this course: 14 out of 18 golf holes give you the experience of playing golf with lake water. Meanwhile, the Mountainview course (18 holes) will make a strong and unforgettable impression with the image of breathtakingly beautiful natural scenery with majestic surrounding mountains.
Dong Mo golf course was designed in 1993 by Mr. Robert Mc Farland – an American architect famous for large projects such as Mission Hills in California, USA. In the process of designing the Lakeside course, the most difficult thing is to maintain the existing terrain here, while still preserving the natural water traps.
The talented architect took advantage of these advantages to design many golf holes on the surrounding 1,500 hectares of lake. Located 6,516 yards from the Gold Tees, this Par 72 golf course will provide players with many challenges regardless of their handicap or golfing ability. The greens here are quite small but very beautiful. The grass planted on the greens is TifDwarf grass, while the fairways use Bermuda grass.
Lakeside course is periodically maintained by foreign experts and professional local staff to ensure the course is always in the best condition to serve golfers.
The golf course has a full range of services to serve golfers, such as a 5-star standard restaurant system serving a variety of guests’ culinary needs. In the afternoon, tourists will visit Duong Lam ancient village. This is the oldest village in northern Vietnam.
Before visiting Duong Lam ancient village, you will pass through Mong Phu village gate. This place was built in 1833 with arched architecture and laterite layer bearing bold architectural culture of the Le Dynasty.
Next to the gate, there is also a banyan tree more than 300 years old that provides shade for people to rest. This scene creates a truly peaceful, ancient and rural landscape.
Duong Lam ancient village communal house was built in 1684 with bold Viet – Muong architecture with stilt houses and wooden floors off the ground. This place includes Nghi Mon, communal house yard, Ta Mac and Huu Mac buildings on both sides, in the middle is the Great communal house. Stepping inside, you will admire many ancient parallel-panel paintings dating back hundreds of years.
Like banyan trees, communal houses and wells are considered the soul of many Vietnamese villages. Traveling to Duong Lam ancient village, you can see many ancient wells. The water here is very clear and is also where people get water for daily activities. After hundreds of years, the ancient wells in Duong Lam village are still intact and extremely sturdy.
Visit ancient houses with items preserved intact over centuries, the village is a symbol of ancient Vietnamese architecture, expressing the rich culture of the people of northern Vietnam.
